Emerson
Theological Institute is pleased to offer registration for the
Gateway to Conscious Evolution program for credit, which may be
applied to accredited degree programs. The following degree programs
are currently offered:
Bachelor of Religious Studies
Masters of Religious Studies
Doctor of Religious Studies
Doctor of Divinity
Doctor of Spiritual Studies
Practitioner of Religious Science Credential
Minister of Religious Science Credential
The Foundation for Conscious Evolution
and Emerson Institute have had a close association
for several years. Dr. Barbara Marx Hubbard received
the first honorary doctorate in Conscious Evolution from Emerson
Institute in 1999.
About the Program
The Gateway for-credit program is being offered in two parts, each
of which earns 2 credits (30 hours of study).
Part One consists of Portals One-Three,
Part Two consists of Portals Four-Seven.
Students taking the Gateway for credit are required
to submit evidence of completion for all Portals, and to submit
written documentation of responses to all Discovery questions and
experiential activities. There are additional requirements including
book reviews, summaries of Wisdom Radio programs, and other related
activities.

Additional Credit Available
Upon completion of both sections of the Gateway, students may be
invited to enroll in an individualized course designed to implement
a self-selected evolutionary project. Two additional units
of credit can be earned upon satisfactory completion of
this independent study project.
Emerson Accreditation
Emerson Institute and its 55 affiliate centers, is accredited by
the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges and
Theological Seminaries Students are advised to check with their
school districts, businesses, and other institutions to determine
if Emerson credits will be accepted prior to taking classes, which
they desire to be accepted by those organizations.
Often credit for previous classes completed through
related organizations may be applied to Emerson
degree programs.
